SPRING IS HERE!!!! So….Let’s have some fun! Occasionally, I have written messages on my friend’s driveways using street chalk. Happy Anniversary! Congratulations on your half-marathon! Happy Birthday to you! I suppose no one can escape my childish escapades. Sometimes I wonder if I am simply immature for my age? I hope I am.
I ask myself this question, how does this person finish our…sandwiches?
It’s nothing you can try to understand; it just is. Where did we meet? How did I know this person before? How does s/he understand what I’m about to say? Why is there so much connection without any connectivity? Is this a soul I’ve known before? It’s got to be more than what it is. But….there’s no known history.
Each year in April, I send out a letter to my very dedicated Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation sponsors in a theme. This year I represented myself as Atlas, as I carry the weight of diabetes on my back. I want to change the world and find a cure! The gift of giving, gives more than you might know.
Cheers was an amazing American sitcom that was on television from 1982 to 1993. The show was about a bar, called Cheers, where a group of locals met to drink and hang out. I ask myself this question all the time – Is old faithful more dependable and reliable than the new and improved? Here are a couple of examples where I feel old faithful items are much more dependable than the new and improved ones.
Curling! I went curling for the first time in my life. Whether I enjoyed it or not didn’t matter. It was a chance to try something new. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised! Curling is a lot of fun and extremely technical.
The other day I was in a clothing store, loving all the new fall fashions. Totally my season! I noticed an adorable shirt on a mannequin. I wanted to try it on. I checked the stack of shirts to find my size. None to be found.
Are you a “Done” or an “Undone” person? Do you leave things for other people to do, or do you get it done? Try to identify which type of person you are.
As individuals we can’t change the whole world, but as a collective group we can make some positive changes. When someone asks you for money or food chose to give them something that is useful. Can a chewy bar save the world?
