Friendships are the ‘ebb and flow’ of daily life. Friendships also go through changes as people’s lives experience many adjustments along the way. Bending that licorice of life and going with the flow is needed to sustain beautiful friendships and families.
The next time you see a beautiful sky, a sunset, or live through a perfect day, thank the world. Appreciate all you have been given.
Take this happiness and give it to something or someone else. Spread the joy and give it back too.
The balance you create will create true inner peace within you.
When I go to the opera with my mother, sometimes there is a PAUSE in the performance. This is not an intermission to leave your seat and get a drink or use the washroom. This is simply a pause in the performance. When the pause is announced, my mother looks at me with a wink in her eye and says, “Now we pause, so relax and enjoy this moment.” I giggle a bit. The Pause in the performance usually lasts about 5 minutes, and then the show continues.
I thoroughly enjoy the 5 minute pause, as it gives me a moment to just relax and observe.
It’s time to give something, anything to fulfill a need.
There are people who need clothing, food, help, and companionship and especially love. Please … Give it!

Nothing is a given, everything is a gift. If you woke up this morning and read this article, this is your first gift. The gift of life and a day to live it…GO! If you turned on a tap and fresh water poured out of it and you were able to wash your face and brush your teeth. Gift #2 of the day. Fresh water!
I am embarrassed to say that at this time I haven’t exercised in weeks! Which answers the question, why do I feel like crap? I am close to a month behind in my journal writing. Oh, the thoughts I have wanted to put down on paper and didn’t have the time to. When I get around to filling in those days, I am certain to have forgotten what I initially wanted to say.
But one school is not enough. Team Frank Africa is building its second pre-school in Gottenburg, South Africa. Kimmy is determined to build many schools and in doing so, she hopes to also build happy, educated successful lives

Instead of giving her money, I gave her an oatmeal chocolate chip chewy bar. She gave me a huge smile!
