Beauty
My Kind of Sexy
As a tween, an almost adolescent, I didn’t really understand what sexy was. All I knew was that Elvis Presley made me feel differently. For some reason, I wanted to kiss him and my eyes were glued to his body when he performed. Once I fully understood what sexy was, Elvis was gone, never to return. Left to seek out other sexy avenues I stumbled upon, David Cassidy, John Travolta, Tony Defranco, Davy Jones, and the super cute guy down my street.

Valuable Reciprocation
The next time you see a beautiful sky, a sunset, or live through a perfect day, thank the world. Appreciate all you have been given.
Take this happiness and give it to something or someone else. Spread the joy and give it back too.
The balance you create will create true inner peace within you.
A Spiritual Oasis
Cheers was an amazing American sitcom that was on television from 1982 to 1993. The show was about a bar, called Cheers, where a group of locals met to drink and hang out. It was the kind of bar where, “Everybody knows your name.”
There are wonder places like this in every city and town. There are also unique places and spaces which hold a “beautiful spirit”. Places that go beyond knowing your name. More like places which clearly understand your soul and being. Here are some of my favourite spaces and places which I LOVE!
People as Landscapes
It’s Flowing
Spring is Sexy
Ahhh, Winter
It’s my season… I love winter.
Often I’m asked, “Why do you love winter? What is it about winter that you like? Explain it to me because I have no idea why anyone would like winter.”
Perhaps my explanation will give you a perspective of winter you might have never thought about.
Actively Listening to Life
Active listening is the best way to learn anything. Get involved by listening and viewing people. Really invest in listening well. Listen to Learn.
Ur so Annoying!
I’m not perfect! You’re not perfect! Everyone and everybody is annoying to someone at some point. Live with it.
If you realize that nothing is perfect, you will appreciate the imperfections of everyone and everything and get over being annoyed.
However…
Nothing could be more annoying than completing a 1000 piece jig saw puzzle and realize one piece is missing. Ask my friend Lisa, as she just completed a huge puzzle and it was missing one darn piece. UGH! That’s so annoying!
In Love With Ice Cream!
Some may ask, what is it about ice cream which makes me feel love. I will describe my love by how it affects my senses: Smell, Sound, Sight, Touch, & Taste. I can get even more descriptive along these lines, but I choose to keep this PG not X rated!
Ok, Fine! I will step out of the lines and simply say, ice cream makes me… Oh… Joy!
Sue & Elvis
Honestly, I could write a lengthy book about Elvis Presley. A long detailed book about his life and my love for him. It’s real and personal and could be a page turner. Maybe one day I will write daily about him and develop our book. For now, here’s a glimpse into this personal passion. My interest in Elvis started a long time ago. Perhaps I was 10 or 11. I was born in 1962. It was around 1972 when I first noticed him. I was entering puberty and he was the hottest, sexiest and most adorable man alive – I thought.
A Microscopic Moment
There is so much to see in the garden at any time of year. Actually, there is so much to see in anything, if you really take the time to look. When I finally get down to spending a few hours in the garden, I take a break from life as a human. I try to think of myself as a creature from the land. I disconnect my phone and my attachment to any technology. I escape into the micro damp soil.
A Perennial Personality
Thinking back to when I was younger, I’m still the same creature of habit. Not big on adventure, but big on doing my ritual things. Boring, das me!
What is Real Beauty?
The air was cool at 4:30 a.m. We were told to pick the fruits which looked colour filled and unripe. We were told to only eat the fruits which were ripe, but not to eat too many. If we ate too many, our best friend would be the toilet!
Around 5:00-5:30 a.m., the sun began to rise. By 6:30 a.m. we were already hot. So were the fruits. My goal was to climb to the top of the apricot tree and pick the fruits which were hot on the sunny side and cool on the shaded side. I succeeded each morning – so yummy!
Loving the Fog
My desk is full of papers. I have dozens of emails waiting for replies and regular mail to open. The magazine and newspaper pile has significantly grown. The “To Do” list is very long and also needs my attention. I’ve got a lot of stuff to do…
But…I don’t care. I’m pleasantly in a fog. A glorious fog in fact!

The shoes I want, but can’t have
A sensible shoe is the direction I seem to be going towards. I can’t believe I wrote that. My aching back and knees are now the forces behind which shoes are best suited for me. My heart is telling me to wear those gorgeous gladiator knee length; multi-buckled flat sexy sandals (see the picture). My back and knees are telling me that a little heal is needed as well as some arch support. That sounds so “retirement plan” and I’m nowhere near retiring. I’m just getting started…aren’t I?
